The inside of a tent can shield you from the sun in very hot weather. For further protection, having a sturdy rain fly covering the roof of your tent can keep you dry. The floor will stay dry, too, if you spread a tarp beneath your tent. A great alternative for shelter can be a pop up camper if your budget allows for it.
